The FW23 is a 72V brushless mid-drive unit with 8KW of continuous power output and a peak rating of 16KW (21.46hp). It uses a splined shaft design for solid, secure power transfer, and the entire unit is rated IP67 waterproof — built to handle mud, standing water, and trail debris without issue. Passive cooling is handled through the motor's finned aluminum housing, which manages heat under sustained high-load riding without any active cooling components to maintain or fail.
Built by WUXI SOTION TECHNOLOGY, the FW23 has become one of the most established mid-drive platforms in the performance e-bike space. It's compact, proven, and built to a spec that holds up under real use. The Soleil Supplies version ships with a custom-branded motor plate and passes full QC inspection before it leaves.
